We create projects for all kinds of people and all kinds of organisations, even those who think theatre has nothing to offer them. Have a look what we can offer you.
Schools are our second home. We want to be a pupil’s creative champion and a teacher’s best friend. Our professional practitioners offer a wide range of theatre skills, acting, writing and technical. We also provide links to other artists and education specialists. Our staff are DBS checked.

Awarded by Arts Council England and designed by teachers, the Artsmark award helps schools and education settings to demonstrate a high quality arts and cultural education.
Artsmark schools gain access to exceptional resources and networks of the country’s best arts and cultural organisations.
Prime Theatre are an Artsmark Associate working with Real Ideas Organisation and Create Studios to help encourage and train schools to achieve Artsmark.

You’re never too young to enjoy theatre.
We provide artists and productions for children under 5 years.
We run workshops and short projects in nurseries, children’s centres and pre-schools.
We research shows with groups of children before rehearsals start.
Butterfly was developed with guidance from children’s hospices.
Splosh! explored language and creative play at bath time and toured nationally to major theatres and community centres.
The Giving Tree played in libraries and to families who have English as a second language.
Primary Schools are where we often make the biggest difference to children and staff.
We’re happy working with a group, a class, a year or the whole school.
Our inspirational and friendly practitioners deliver individual workshops, cross-curricular projects and wider topic weeks. We lead staff training.
As well as professional productions we also deliver regular and one-off workshops in schools of all kinds including Special Provision Units.
We often use Arts Award to give pupils their first qualifications.

Who said arts activity isn’t valuable? Arts Award is a national qualification accrediting the creative skills and leadership talent demonstrated by anyone aged 5 – 25.
We deliver Arts Award at all five levels using a variety of arts.
Discover – Introductory certificate. Ages 5+
Explore – Entry Level 3 qualification. Ages 7+
Bronze - Level 1 qualification. Ages 11+
Silver - Level 2 qualification. Ages 14+
Gold - Level 3 qualification worth 35 UCAS points. Ages 16+
Prime Theatre is an Arts Award Good Practice Centre with trained Advisers so that young people can achieve an Arts Award with us. For more details please get in touch.
We are an Arts Award Supporter and offer special activities and access to young people and other groups already taking Arts Award.

Artsmad is a partnership of professional artists and organisations proving that Arts Make A Difference.
We offer a wide variety of high quality, affordable activities ranging from dance to drama, music to creative writing, digital art to visual art. Activities can take place in youth, education or community settings.
Artsmad members are Prime Theatre, Swindon Dance, Create Studios, Swindon Libraries, Swindon Museum & Art Gallery, Make Music Swindon, Reach Inclusive Arts and No Added Sugar.
Every year we help hundreds of young people improve their chances of achieving a career in the arts.
Prime Theatre staff will contribute to Careers Events and Mock Interviews.

Want a different and exciting way of improving staff teams and their skills?
Prime Theatre training courses challenge professionals to build their skills and improve interaction and communication in the workplace. Using simple, fun and non-threatening theatre activities training sessions cover subjects such as Personal Impact, Body Language, Influencing Others, Developing Resilience and Voice.
Bespoke training courses help businesses invest in their staff, unlock their potential and advance their communication skills.
We work with your business and design sessions to meet your needs for individuals and groups of any size. Sessions can range from one-hour masterclasses to full-day experiences.
