ACTING WORKSHOPS – STORY EXPLORERS (Ages 6-11)
Come and explore the world of ‘The Tempest’ and create your own performance for grown-ups. We will be creating our own puppets, soundscapes and theatre, taking the audience on a journey to another world. Whether you already know the story, or this is your first encounter with Shakespeare; this experience will be a magical one.
Where: Wyvern Theatre
When: 9am-3pm (early 8:30am drop off available)
Sharing of work at 3pm on 18th February for parents/ carers
Age: 6-11 year olds
How much: £50 for 2 days
There are a limited number of bursary places available for deaf, looked after children and incomes under £25k. Please enquire.

AM - The group will spend the first hour on drama games and exercises which stimulate imagination and help them get to know one another. We will start to explore the story and world of the play.

PM - We will explore the skill of puppetry, and starts to make our puppets ready to use for Day 2
AM - Everyone will spend the morning working in smaller groups rehearsing their scenes.
|PM - Groups will share to parents/ carers at 3pm, and best of all, get to take their puppets home!|
What do I bring? What do I wear?
Participants are advised to come wearing loose clothes that they feel comfortable to move in.
Please come with a packed lunch and drink for the day.
